Kendall Jenner is featured in the latest issue of TeenPROM. The magazine hits newsstands two days after Christmas, but you can check out a few excerpts from Kendall's interview below...

Kendall Jenner Magazine Cover

Who inspired her style? “My three older sisters [Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian] inspire me the most. I pull [my style] from each of them.”

What is filming like on Keeping Up with the Kardashians? “I used to be really shy around the cameras when we started filming. But I think Kylie and I are both used to it now. It’s normal for us.”

Was she nervous for her runway debut? Yes. But: "Once I got out there, I felt more comfortable. When the lights are up, you can’t really see the audience, which made it a little better. I had a lot of fun. I want to do it again.”

(AP) ? Senate officials say negotiators are close to a deal for a two-month extension of Social Security payroll tax cuts and jobless benefits for the long-term unemployed. Both are due to expire at the end of the year.

The same package is also expected to require the Obama administration to make a speedy decision on the fate of a proposed oil pipeline from Canada to Texas that promises thousands of jobs.

If nailed down, the deal would come up for a vote in the Senate as soon as Saturday.

Majority Republican leaders in the House were not involved in the negotiations.

The developments came after the White House backed away from a veto threat that centered on the pipeline.

What's the Difference Between a Religion and a Cult?

No. Sociologists started using the word cult with some regularity in the 1970s, to distinguish emerging groups like the Jesus Movement, the Children of God, and Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church from more established religions, but academics were never able to settle on a clear definition. For many at the time, the essential feature of a cult was that its ideology and structure opposed those of the larger society in which it resided. Where mainstream society is rational, for example, cults are mystical. If most members of a society are individualists, cult members practice collectivism. Other scholars argued that cult members had to be in active conflict with other religions, or that cults always had charismatic leaders who were aggressively recruiting new members. No matter which definition you prefer, no one would ever have referred to the Latter-day Saints as a cult. It has millions of members; its ideology and organizational structure are similar to those of mainstream churches; and an average Mormon?s way of life isn?t radically different from that of any other American.

Dem targets Pelosi wealth (Politico)

Class warfare erupted in a House Democratic Caucus meeting Tuesday, as Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi?s personal fortune was thrown in her face by a junior colleague angry about a proposal to freeze the pay of members of Congress.

Rep. Laura Richardson attacked Pelosi for endorsing the GOP-written pay freeze during a Tuesday caucus discussion of a possible Democratic amendment to the payroll tax cut, according to several sources who were in the room at the time. Both women are California Democrats.

The sources disagreed on the exact wording of the unusually direct shot at the party leader, but Richardson?s sentiment was clear: Pelosi, who is worth at least $40 million, doesn?t need the money as much as some of her colleagues, and she should have consulted with them before deciding to protect the GOP-written pay freeze.

It was ?something like ?Well I am sorry, Madam Leader, but some of us are not in the financial situation you are in,?? said one source.

Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) jumped in to contend that members should be willing to take a pay freeze as part of a bill that is blocking raises for other federal civilian workers.

But sources said it was one of the most tense intra-party changes in recent memory.

?Pelosi was so pissed off,? said one senior Democratic aide. ?Richardson looked like a buffoon, like ?I need my money.??

According to at least one Democratic insider, Richardson eventually said that she would support the Democratic proposal.

Richardson?s office declined to comment at press time.

In point of fact, Richardson does need the money. She?s one of the poorest members of Congress, with debts that appear to outstrip her assets, according to her most recent financial disclosure form. Pelosi, by contrast, routinely ranks among the most wealthy lawmakers.

Richardson faces an Ethics Committee probe into allegations she and her top aides allegedly pressured other staffers to work on her reelection campaign or be fired. Staffers on the congressional payroll are prohibited from working on political campaigns while they are on the government clock.

In addition, under House ethics rules and federal law, government resources cannot be used for any campaign-related activities.

Richardson has denied any wrongdoing, but this probe, as well as an earlier Ethics Committee investigation into her personal finances and a foreclosed home, have cost her hundreds of thousands in legal fees. Richardson is currently carrying a personal debt of at least $150,000 to her defense attorneys, and her reelection campaign owes another $125,000-plus, according to recent reports.
