Josh Brolin and Christopher Meloni Join Sin City 2

It was reported yesterday that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on to the Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and will play an original character named Johnny, which was written with Johnny Depp in mind.

But he's not the only new face added to the cast. Deadline has word that Josh Brolin and Christopher Meloni will also join Gordon-Levitt in the movie.

Brolin replaces Clive Owen as Dwight, and his scenes in the sequel will take place before the events of the first movie. That means we'll get to find out how Dwight had gone from looking like Brolin to looking like Owen.

As for Meloni, he is going to be playing a cop in the movie, but not much is known about his character at this point.

The casting announcements for Sin City 2 will continue even with the addition of this trio of actors as there are other unfilled roles as of yet -- most notably that of the dame in the movie's subtitle.

Robert Rodriguez originally wanted Angelina Jolie for the Ava Lord role, but for whatever reason, she wasn't available.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, co-directed by Rodriguez and Frank Miller, has been in production since November of last year and is scheduled for an October 4, 2013 release.

The first movie came out in 2005 and made over $158 million at the global box office on a $40 million production budget.
