NYC Dads and Stay At Home Dads Group: Making Fatherhood Look ...

New York News | NYC Breaking News
A few weeks ago, RedBook Magazine published an article titled, The New Daddy Guilt, describing the challenges faced by so many working fathers on juggling their career, personal life, and family. ?Yes, dads are openly discussing the challenges they face with the insurmountable obstacles of becoming a new dad and wanting to carve out more family time. ?Yes, dads want to be more involved even though research points to new dads taking less than ten days off after the birth of their new baby and actually spending 3 additional hours per week in the workplace once they start a family. Based on the struggle for fathers to carve out more time with their family, Fox 5 New York News interviewed a few working dads in our NYC Dads Group community to share their situations and how they maximize time with their children. ?What we thought might be an in-depth piece on work-life balance and touch upon this "guilt" within new dads resulted in a more heartfelt, fresh piece about the cool factor of fatherhood. ?We've said in the past that rolling up your sleeves and being a hands-on dad is a cool thing to do. ?It was nice of Fox News to support that message with this segment.

"Being a dad is all the rage, the new king of cool. And, even though it's part of the job description, no one ever said it was a walk in the park." - Fox 5 News
